Thank you for helping our Third World fundraising event.

Here's a speech that can be adapted to just about any third-world fundraising event.
I've written it here as an after-dinner speech for a fund-raising dinner to help raise money to build a school or a community centre in an impoverished Third-World community. And my theme is...  'your donations and support are helping to plant that all-important seed of hope for the future'.
"Like a Sunflower seed, which, as every child will tell you, has the potential to grow into a marvellous flower that is bigger and far taller than any of us... your generosity and support will produce a bounty of goodness and benefits...  that will last far beyond our life time.
This is an uplifting speech, full of  genuine charm and sincerity. I like it a lot.
