Incoming Chairman's speech

Here's a nice little speech which includes two short, and somewhat whimsical stories, which your audience will enjoy. Remember, one of the most important things that a new Chairman can do to endear himself to his listeners is to single out and praise each member of  his committee by name and to carefully highlight to the important function that each committee member has in the Association. You see, all too often an incoming Chairman will simply lavish praise on the outgoing Chairman and make little more than a passing reference to the committee. Of course, this is acceptable. Indeed, it is quite common. But you'll win far more friends and influence far more people if you are open and generous in your praise of everyone on the committee.
