- The Real McCoy Comments:... Ladies and Gentlemen... After the
swinging success of Richard's stag party, the original best man has mysteriously
disappeared. In fact, the odd thing about that stag party was that, at
the end of the night I discovered to my amazement that I was the only person
in the entire room who had either not disappeared or who was not
wearing fancy dress. As far as I could see everybody - everybody
that is, with the noble exception of myself and Richard - was dressed
up as policeman.
This is a light-hearted
speech which plays up the fact that the best man is standing in for the
original best man. It's good fun. And when it comes to the 'impostor
best man' reading a fictional telegram from the 'real' best man, things
get quite hilarious.
